Vietnamese Parliament gifts face masks to Belarusian Parliament to combat Covid-1911.05.2020
On May 11, 2020 Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Chairman of the Office of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on behalf of Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, symbolically handed over 20000 face masks to Vladimir Goshin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as a gift to the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
According to the statement of the Vietnamese Parliament, this step “reflects the desire to share with the parliamentarians
of the Republic of Belarus the hardships caused by the continuing spread of the COVID-19 around the world and is also based on the traditions of the long-term friendship between the two countries and the close ties between the Parliaments of Vietnam and Belarus”.
The face masks were also handed as humanitarian aid to the ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia in Hanoi.
