Political Cooperation

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were established on September 22, 1999.

In October 20, 2022, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou presented his credentials to the Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. Since 2011, Mr. Aung Moe Myint has been the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Myanmar.

In December, 2011 an official visit of H.E. Mr. Mikhail Myasnikovich, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar took place.

In May, 2015 an official visit of Myanmar parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the House of Nationalities of the Parliament of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar H.E. Mr. Khin Aung Myint to the Republic of Belarus took place.

In June, 2000 H.E. Mr. Win Aung, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, paid an official visit to the Republic of Belarus. In November, 2013 consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs at the level of deputy ministers were held.

Belarus traditionally supports Myanmar on international foras.
