Trade and Economic Cooperation

Belarus considers Laos to be an important economic partner in Southeast Asia.

The main article of Belarusian export to Laos is control devices and measuring equipment. Laos exports footwear and textiles to Belarus.

The Belarusian-Lao Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation is functioning. The Belarusian co-chair is Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus S. Stolyarchuk. The 4th meeting of the commission was held in Vientiane on September 23-25, 2025. 

In 2025, in Vientiane, the Belarus-Laos Business Forum was held on July 18 and a business matching and cooperation exchange on September 24.
