Participation of Ambassador U.Baravikou in a meeting of the ESCAP Advisory Committee

On October 20, 2026, Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus, participated in his capacity as a Permanent Observer in the 426th meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent Representatives and Other Representatives Designated by Members of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

The meeting addressed preparations for key ESCAP events scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first half of 2027, including the 9th session of the Committee on Social Development (Bangkok, November 11 – 13, 2026), the 9th session of the Committee on Statistics (Bangkok, December 2 – 4, 2026), the 14th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (Bangkok, February 23 – 26, 2027), and the 83rd session of ESCAP (Shanghai, April 26 – 30, 2027).

Participants also reviewed the outcomes of several recent events focused on ICT development, digital transformation, and science, technology, and innovation.
