Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou takes part in the meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent and Other Representatives of ESCAP Member States

On January 16, 2025, Ambassador Uladizmir Baravikou in his capacity as Permanent Observer participated online in the 416th meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent and Other Representatives Designated by Member States of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Discussed were the outcomes of the regional events that were held in 2024, as well as the schedule of upcoming fora in 2025, including the Asia-Pacific Regional Review Meeting on the Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Legal Migration (Bangkok, 4-6 February), the 12th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (Bangkok, 25-28 February), the 81st session of ESCAP (21-25 April), other intergovernmental and expert meetings.

Special attention was paid to preparation of recommendations and proposals for global events under the auspices of the United Nations planned in the year of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the UN.
