Action “Belarus Remembers” held in Hanoi

On 6 May 2025, Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou together with the Embassy officials, their family members and representatives of the Belarusian community in Vietnam held the action ‘Belarus Remembers’ to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The action was an integral part of the “Immortal Regiment” procession organised by the Russian Embassy in Vietnam and the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Hanoi.

The heads and employees of the Belarusian and Russian diplomatic missions, as well as invited guests of honour also laid the ‘Alley of Memory’ in commemoration of the Victory Day.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Belarus underlined the decisive contribution of the peoples of the Soviet Union to the victory over Nazi Germany, drew attention to the critical damage inflicted on the national economy of the Republic, the facts of genocide against the Belarusian people, called for intensification of joint efforts to preserve the historical truth — the basis for successful development, sovereignty and security of our countries and peoples.

The photo exhibition ‘Belarus Invincible’ unfolded on the margins of the event aroused keen interest among the participants.
