Humanitarian aid from Belarus delivered to Vietnam

11.06.2026

On June 11, 2026, a shipment of humanitarian aid was handed over at the seaport of Da Nang. The aid was sent at the order by President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko for the central regions of Vietnam, which had been affected by the massive floods in November 2025.

The shipment consisting of goods manufactured in Belarus weighing approximately 27 tons, was received by the leadership of the Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In his welcoming remarks, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy Oleg Shloma noted that Vietnam can always count on brotherly support from Belarus in addressing the consequences of natural disasters and emergencies.

The Belarusian diplomat expressed hope that the delivered aid would provide substantial assistance to many affected Vietnamese families. Continuing this tradition will make an important contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries established in May 2025, the friendship between the peoples, and will promote development of interregional ties and people-to-people contacts.

The event was also attended by the leadership of Quang Tri Province, which was hardest hit by the floods, as well as representatives of Vietnamese customs and immigration authorities, and the media.
