21.02.2025

On 21 February 2025, the International Mother Language Day, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou, diplomats of the Embassy, their family members as well as Vietnamese citizens, who lived and studied in Belarus, took part in the annual event “Kupalauska diktouka” organised by Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

The poem ‘For All We Are Grateful to Them’ by Nikolay Cherniavsky, chosen for the dictation, is dedicated to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the Motherland in the Great Patriotic War, which is especially symbolic in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The Mother Language Day is special for every nation and people, because there is no nation without a language, just as there is no language without its speaker. The event reflected the importance of the knowledge of history and respect for the language of one's country for every person.
