Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou participates in the Third Asian and Pacific Energy Forum

On November 15, 2023, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou as Permanent Observer to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) took part in the opening of the 7th Asian and Pacific Population Conference, which takes place from 15 to 17 November 2023 in Bangkok (Thailand).

The event is attended by heads and experts from departments of ESCAP participating and observer countries dealing with population issues, representatives of international organizations, and the diplomatic corps.

The Conference participants will focus on discussing progress in the implementation of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Declaration on Population and Development and the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development in the region. The main attention is paid to finding solutions to demographic problems in the region, as well as the relationship between population and development in the context of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
