Ambassador U.Baravikou takes part in Victory Day celebrations
06.05.2026On May 6, 2026, Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou, together with the heads of the missions of Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan, diplomats and their families, laid wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Monument to the Fallen Heroes and the Monument to the Soviet military specialists who assisted the Vietnamese people.
A series of events has been organised to mark the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on 9 May, the Liberation of South Vietnam and the country’s reunification on 30 April, and Victory in the Battle of Dien Bien Phu on 7 May.
During a meeting with Major General Pham Hai Trung, Head of the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Mausoleum Command, the Belarusian Ambassador emphasised the importance of preserving historical truth and the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the country’s freedom and independence. The common victory was made possible only thanks to the unity, solidarity and mass heroism of the entire Soviet people.
The heads of diplomatic missions signed the Guest Book.
