Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou takes part in the meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent and Other Representatives of ESCAP Member States

On February 20, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Uladizmir Baravikou in his capacity as Permanent Observer participated online in the 417th meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent and Other Representatives Designated by Member States of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

The report on the work of the Advisory Committee for the period from June 2024 to February 2025 was approved. Discussed were the outcomes of previous regional events, as well as the schedule of upcoming forums, including the 81st annual session of ESCAP (21-25 April), and other intergovernmental and expert meetings.

Special attention was paid to the preparation of recommendations for global events under the auspices of the UN planned in the year of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Organisation, including the 2nd World Summit on Social Development.
