Exhibition of historical maps marking National Unity Day

On September 18, 2026, to mark the Republic of Belarus’s national holiday – National Unity Day – an exhibition of historical maps from the Belarusian Geographical Society’s collection opened at the Embassy of Belarus in Hanoi.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou highlighted the pivotal significance of the historical events of September and October 1939 for the Belarusian people. Particular attention was drawn to the interwar period of the 20th century and the trials and tribulations faced by Belarusians during that time.

The event was attended by heads and staff of diplomatic missions accredited in Hanoi, leadership from the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Society, and representatives of the Belarusian diaspora.
