Ambassador U.Baravikou participates in the opening of the 1st session of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam

On April 6, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou attended the opening ceremony of the first session of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam.

Present in the Parliament’s chamber were Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai, former and current senior party and state officials, deputies, members of the government, and heads and representatives of the diplomatic corps.   

The session’s agenda includes personnel matters, such as the election of Vietnam’s top leadership, as well as socio-economic, financial, budgetary, supervisory and other measures to stimulate economic growth for the country’s rapid and sustainable development. It is expected that eight draft laws and one resolution will be adopted.
