On the participation of Ambassador U.Baravikou in the opening ceremony of the Days of Belarusian Cinema in Vietnam

On June 26, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou, together with the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Ta Quang Dong, solemnly opened the first Days of Belarusian Cinema in Vietnam.

Among the honored guests, the event at the Hanoi National Film Center was attended by representatives of Vietnamese ministries and departments, the leadership of the cinema department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as the creative delegation of the Belarusfilm film studio, headed by director D.S. Semenov.

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Belarus emphasized the uniqueness of the event in the history of Belarusian-Vietnamese relations, its role and significance for strengthening friendly ties between the two countries and peoples at a new stage of strategic partnership and strong ties between filmmakers and a wide audience of both countries.

It was no coincidence that the feature film produced by the Belarusfilm film studio “One for Two” was chosen as the opening film, which tells about the feat of Belarusian military pilots who saved civilians at the cost of their own lives.

The Days of Belarusian Cinema aroused keen interest among Vietnamese viewers and were widely covered in national and regional media.
