On the Embassy’s participation in the opening of the Second World Festival of Cultures in Hanoi

On October 1, 2026, a grand opening ceremony for the Second World Festival of Cultures took place in Hanoi, attended by diplomats from the Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam.

The guests of honour at the event, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism in conjunction with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People’s Committee, were Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Dai Thang, as well as heads of government and administrative bodies and members of the diplomatic corps.

The Belarusian pavilion was presented to the numerous visitors, featuring a photographic exhibition on the country’s natural and cultural attractions, as well as souvenirs and products from Belarusian enterprises. A highlight was a collection of poems by Yanka Kupala, the People’s Poet of Belarus, published in Vietnam in the Vietnamese language.

The program of this spectacular international festival will continue until 4 October.
