Ambassador of Belarus U.Baravikou takes part in the opening of the Belarusian ballet’s tour in Thailand

On September 9, 2026, the 28th International Dance and Music Festival was officially opened with a performance by the National Academic Grand Theatre of Opera and Ballet of the Republic of Belarus on the main stage of the Thai Cultural Centre.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand and his wife honoured the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” with their presence.

The filled auditorium was also attended by members of the Royal Family, heads of government and local authorities, representatives of the business community, the media and the foreign diplomatic corps.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam and Thailand (concurrently) Uladzimir Baravikou attended the event as a guest of honour.

A series of meetings was held ‘on the go’ with representatives of Thai government bodies and the business community, as well as figures from the worlds of culture and the arts.

The Belarusian ballet’s tour will continue in Bangkok until 13 September 2026.
