Congratulations from the Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou on the Lunar New Year

Dear friends!

On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus and personally, I congratulate you cordially on the Tet Nguyen Dan holiday!

We are welcoming the New Year together with a sense of joy and satisfaction with the joint work done to strengthen the traditionally friendly relations between Belarus and Vietnam.

Over the past year, our countries have become even closer to each other thanks to numerous visits and meetings, also the talks between President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh during the BRICS Summit in Kazan. The visits to Belarus by delegations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam, and Women's Union were a vivid manifestation of ‘people's diplomacy’.

The year culminated with the entry into force on 30 January 2025 of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports, which will undoubtedly contribute to expansion of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other spheres, intensification of tourist flows and people-to-people contacts.

Of particular importance for preservation of historical memory and truth for future generations was implementation of joint projects dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 70th anniversary of the great battle at Dien Bien Phu. This topic remains relevant in the new year, when our countries will celebrate the next glorious anniversaries.

The victory of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko at the presidential election held on 26 January 2025 has given us even more confidence that under the wise leadership of our leaders, Belarus and Vietnam will achieve new successes in realising the significant potential of bilateral relations, socio-economic development, raising the living standards of our citizens, promoting foreign policy interests, ensuring peace and security.

May the new year bring new successes and achievements, bright emotions and impressions, contribute to implementation of joint plans and projects!
