On the meetings of Ambassador of Belarus Ul.Baravikou in Vientiane

On November 29, 2024, within the framework of the working visit to Laos, a meeting was held between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus, Uladzimir Baravikou and Deputy Minister of Health of the Lao PDR, Snong Thongsna.

A wide range of cooperation in the spheres of healthcare and pharmaceuticals was discussed, particular attention was paid to medical education and arranging of mutual supplies of pharmaceutical products.

On the same day, Ambassador of Belarus Ul.Baravikou paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister of the Lao PDR, Thongsavanh Phomvihane, congratulating him on the appointment.

The parties considered the state and prospects of political and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, discussed the plans for the development of a bilateral legal framework with an emphasis on the trade and economic sphere, as well as the liberalization of visa procedures.

During his visit to Vientiane, the representative of Belarus, upon the invitation of the President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, took part in the Wishing Ceremony on the occasion of the 49th Anniversary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the forthcoming New Year 2025.
