On the participation of Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou in the celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Vietnam

On August 31, 2023, Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Vietnam.

78 years ago, on September 2, 1945, on Badinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read out the Declaration of Independence, which laid the foundation for the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Together with the heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Hanoi, the Ambassador of Belarus laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and visited the late leader in the Mausoleum.

Paying tribute to the memory of those who defended the independence of the Vietnamese state with weapons in their hands and with their work, the delegation laid a wreath and incense at the main monument to the Heroes and fallen soldiers on Bak Son Street in Hanoi.

In the evening at the Hanoi Opera House, at the invitation of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Van Thuong, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou took part in the solemn ceremony.

On the sidelines of the event, brief talks were held with the head of state, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, a number of leaders and representatives of Vietnamese state agencies and public organizations, diplomatic missions of foreign states. Along with heartfelt congratulations and best wishes, there was an interested exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
