Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou participates in the meeting of Members of Parliaments of Belarus and Vietnam

On November 12, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou took part in an online meeting of the Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation with the Parliament of Vietnam and the Group of Friendship with Belarus of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Heads of the parliamentary groups, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs Oleg Dyachenko and Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Social Affairs, Deputy Chairman of the war veterans' society of the National Assembly Chancellery Nguyen Tuan Anh confirmed their interest in development of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the bilateral format and in multilateral platforms, outlined promising avenues of cooperation between the two countries.

Later on, while meeting with the Vietnamese delegation, the Ambassador noted the importance of contribution of MPs, also members of the friendship groups, to development of Belarus-Vietnam interstate ties and promotion of “people's diplomacy”. Proposals were put forward on a number of projects that would contribute to strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Belarus and Vietnam.
