Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou takes part in the meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent and Other Representatives of ESCAP Member States

On June 17, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Uladizmir Baravikou in his capacity as Permanent Observer participated online in the 418th meeting of the Advisory Committee of Permanent and Other Representatives Designated by Member States of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

The outcomes of past ESCAP activities, including the annual 81st session held in April 2025, were discussed. Information on the forthcoming activities of the Commission, as well as the draft work plan of the Advisory Committee for 2025-2026 was presented.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' initiative ‘UN-80’, including the holding of the 2nd World Summit on Social Development in 2025, which is the anniversary year for the universal international organization.
