On the participation of Ambassador of Belarus U.Baravikou in a press conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the FTA with Vietnam
29.05.2025On May 29, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Uladzimir Baravikou, together with the heads of diplomatic missions of Armenia, Kazakhstan and Russia, took part in a press conference organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam.
In his speech, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou informed about the priorities of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the EAEU bodies in 2025, with an emphasis on the alignment of the integration potentials of the EAEU, CIS, SCO and BRICS.
In the context of the US actions, the representative of Belarus expressed the opinion that more active interaction of Vietnam with the EAEU could be one of the ways to maintain the country's trade balance.
Uladzimir Baravikou noted the favorable impact of the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam on the bilateral relations between Minsk and Hanoi, as evidenced by the record level of trade turnover between the two countries achieved in 2023.
At the same time, Ambassador of Belarus criticized the unilateral restrictive measures of a number of countries, which negatively affect the well-being of citizens and create risks, including for global food security.
