On the participation in a government reception

On January 9, 2023, Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chin took part in a reception organized for representatives of the diplomatic corps on the occasion of Tet.

In his speech the Prime Minister confirmed that “Vietnam is consistently committed to the foreign policy course of independence, self-reliance as a good friend, reliable partner, active and responsible member of the international community; actively contributes to the common efforts to ensure a better future for the region and the world”.

Pham Minh Chinh also wished that the Ambassadors accredited to Vietnam would continue to carry out the linking function effectively and strengthen bilateral relations. Wishing to friends around the world “further success on the path to peace, cooperation, happiness and prosperity, continuous strengthening and development of friendly relations between Vietnam and foreign countries” were addressed.

A brief conversation was held with the Prime Minister in which the Ambassador congratulated Pham Minh Chinh on the upcoming New Year according to the lunar calendar, expressed gratitude for the active interaction with the Vietnamese authorities as well as the hope for the intensification of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of the event a brief exchange of views on some aspects of the international and bilateral agenda was held with a number of high-ranked representatives of Vietnamese Government agencies as well as heads of diplomatic missions.
