Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou on meetings in Naypyidaw

On December 4, 2024, on a working visit to Myanmar Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar Than Swe. Discussed were topical issues of political cooperation, plans to develop the bilateral legal framework with an emphasis on trade and economy.

The same day, the Ambassador met with Chairman of the Belarus-Myanmar Friendship and Cooperation Association Aung Thaw and the activists of the Association. Plans for joint cultural and educational events in 2025 were outlined.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the representative of Belarus, leaders and members of the Association joined hands in planting a tree of friendship – Mezuya ferrea that symbolizes eternal friendship. The solemn ceremony was held in the center of Naypyidaw.
