Meeting between Ambassador of Belarus U.Baravikou and Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army

On September 21, 2026, Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, met with General of the Army Nguyen Trong Nghia – member of the

Politburo and Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the traditionally friendly, long-standing nature of Belarusian-Vietnamese relations and their mutual desire to strengthen these ties during the new stage of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Plans were outlined for the implementation of joint projects aimed at enhancing patriotic education and safeguarding historical memory and truth.

A delegation from the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army is scheduled to visit the Republic of Belarus from September 21 to 24, 2026.
