Humanitarian aid delivered to Myanmar
07.04.2025By order of the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko on 7 April 2025 a cargo of humanitarian aid, including sets of frame tents, blankets and foodstuffs was delivered to the capital of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Nay Pyi Taw to the victims of the powerful earthquake.
The Belarusian delegation headed by First Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations Aleksandr Khudoleyev was welcomed at the airport by the Union Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Soe Win and representatives of the Myanmar Foreign Ministry.
A day earlier, Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited the camp of the Belarusian search and rescue squad ROSN ‘ZUBR’ and personally thanked its fighters for their help in dealing with the consequences of the disaster.
The Belarusian Honorary Consulate in Yangon provided organisational support for the events ‘on the ground’.
