On a working visit of Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou to Myanmar
03.07.2026On July 1–3, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (concurrently) Uladzimir Baravikou paid a working visit to Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon.
The meeting with Union Minister for National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of Myanmar Aung Kyaw Hoe was focused on cooperation in trade and the economy, the implementation of cooperation projects in line with the agreements reached at the highest level, and the decisions of the Joint Belarus-Myanmar Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
At the meeting with Deputy Chief of Police of Myanmar Major General Myo Min Htike, the sides discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, primarily providing assistance to Belarusian citizens in extreme situations.
During a meeting with Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar Thet Tun, the sides discussed the organization of high-level meetings. The practical aspects of opening a Belarusian diplomatic mission in Nay Pyi Taw were discussed. The schedule and modalities of upcoming joint events were clarified.
