On the participation of the Embassy in the 12th Session of the Joint Belarusian-Vietnamese Commission on Scientific and Technical Cooperation

On July 1, 2026, the 12th Session of the Joint Belarusian-Vietnamese Commission on Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Minsk, with the participation of the Embassy online.

Under the chairmanship of the Co-Chairs – Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Ms. Tatyana Stolyarova and Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam Nguyen Thien Nghia – the Parties discussed priority areas of cooperation including artificial intelligence, space, nano- and biotechnology, nuclear energy and new energy sources, microelectronics, semiconductors, information security, agreed on the Executive Programme for scientific and technical cooperation for 2027–2028, launch of a new competition for joint projects. The importance of commercializing and implementing the results of joint research and development was emphasized. A schedule of events for the near future has been outlined.

Following the meeting, a Protocol and a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation were signed between the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research and the Vietnam National Foundation for Science and Technology Development.
