23.05.2025

On May 23, 2025, Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou and the Embassy's staff took part in a festive evening on the occasion of the Day of Slavonic Script and Culture.

In his speech, the Ambassador particularly noted the compatriots who have made and still make a significant contribution to the development of Slavonic writing and culture. The ‘Psalter’ by Francysk Skaryna was the first printed publication for the Eastern Slavic nations. The annual International Cyril and Methodius Readings in Minsk and the Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk are still playing an important role in strengthening ties between the Slavonic peoples and preserving their spirituality, culture, values and traditions.

The event at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Hanoi was attended by the leadership, staff and family members of the Russian diplomatic mission, representatives of government authorities, public organisations and media in Vietnam.
