On the participation of the Ambassador U.Baravikou at the opening ceremony of the conference of young parliamentarians of the IPU

On September 15, the Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou took part in the opening ceremony of the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, which is being held in Hanoi on September 14-17, 2023 under the auspices of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the National Assembly of Vietnam.

The conference welcomes more than 300 young parliamentarians and delegates from more than 70 member parliaments of the IPU and representatives of international organizations.

In the presence of the diplomatic corps accredited in Hanoi, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong addressed the audience with a video message.

Opening the large-scale forum, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue said that this event once again emphasizes Vietnam’s active, proactive and responsible participation in the activities of the IPU, and also shows the country’s special attention to youth and modern global challenges for the younger generation.

“On the margins” Ambassador U.Baravikou held a series of conversations with members of the Political bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Vietnamese and foreign parliamentarians, and heads of central authorities of the host country.

On September 15, with the participation of the Ambassador, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Klishevich discussed with the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Vietnamese Youth Union Bui Quang Hi the issues of intensifying interaction of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union with Vietnamese partners. A schedule of upcoming joint events has been outlined.
