On Participation of Ambassador U.Baravikou in Joint Events with Myanmar

From October 30 to October 3, 2025, Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (concurrently), took part in a series of events in Minsk dedicated to cooperation with Myanmar.

The second meeting of the Joint Belarus-Myanmar Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held. The event was co-chaired by Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov and Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Wah Wah Maung. The sides discussed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level and identified priority areas and avenues for further deepening cooperation, including in mechanical engineering, agriculture, healthcare, science and technology, education, culture, and tourism. The importance of expanding the legal framework for cooperation, with a focus on trade and economic cooperation, was noted. A schedule of joint events for the near future has been outlined.

Ambassador of Belarus participated in the second round of consultations on general political issues between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The Belarusian side was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lukashevich, while the Myanmar side was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ko Ko Kyaw. The full range of issues related to Belarusian-Myanmar relations were discussed, including developing political dialogue, increasing mutual trade, expanding the legal framework, and bilateral cooperation within international organizations.

The first meeting of the Belarus-Myanmar Joint Working Group on Cooperation in the sphere of Agriculture and Food was held with the participation of Uladzimir Baravikou. Key areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed: certification of Belarusian meat and dairy products; phytosanitary requirements and conditions for access to the Myanmar market; and prospects for expanding the range of Belarusian exports.

With the participation of Ambassador of Belarus, the Myanmar delegation met with Deputy Minister of Industry, Denis Bakei and Deputy Minister of Health, Alexander Starovoytov.
