Belarus and Vietnam strengthen security cooperation

As part of a working visit to Vietnam, State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Volfovich, at the head of the Belarusian delegation, on December 13, 2023 held negotiations with the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam To Lam.

The focus was on strengthening cooperation in the field of security, including the exchange of experience and information, holding joint activities, participation in international forums, and responding to modern challenges and threats, including those of a cross-border nature.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Joint Cooperation Plan for 2024–2026.

On the same day, a meeting was held between the State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Volfovich and the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Minh Сhinh. During the negotiations, the parties expressed interest in further development of the bilateral cooperation, including on security, trade and investment, increasing the level of political contacts, and implementing joint projects.
