Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou participates in the Third Asian and Pacific Energy Forum

On October 19, 2023, Ambassador Vladimir Borovikov, as Permanent Observer to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), took part in the opening of the 3rd Asia-Pacific Energy Forum (APEF) under the theme “Building a secure, sustainable and connected energy future for the Asia-Pacific region”, which takes place from October 19 to 20, 2023 in Bangkok (Thailand).

The event is attended by heads and experts of energy departments of ESCAP participating and observer countries, representatives of international organizations, and the diplomatic corps.

The Forum participants will focus on discussing progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and implementation of the Ministerial Declaration on Regional Cooperation for the Energy Transition to a Sustainable and Resilient Society in the Asia-Pacific Region, adopted at the 2nd Energy Forum countries of Asia and the Pacific in 2018.
