Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou participates in the activities of the ASEAN Future 2025 Forum

On 25 February 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou took part in the forum ‘ASEAN Future 2025’ in Hanoi.

In their welcoming speeches, Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta, Prime Minister of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra, UN Under-Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed stressed the importance of multilateral approaches to solving existing problems, strengthening cooperation with regional and global organisations and partner countries.

The event brought together nearly 600 high-level representatives from ASEAN member countries, leaders of Vietnam's Foreign Ministry, other ministries and agencies, provincial People's Committees, experts and analysts, and the diplomatic corps.

Earlier in the day, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou was among the guests of honour at the opening of the photo exhibition ‘Vietnam's Journey to ASEAN: 30 Years of Progress and Aspirations for the Future’ organised under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

On the margins of the event, the Ambassador of Belarus had a brief exchange of views on a number of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda with a number of high-ranking representatives of Vietnamese government agencies and heads of diplomatic missions.
